Drake’s 2nd OVO Golf Classic Combined Friendly Competition, Luxury Hospitality and Major Fundraising

Drake’s 2nd OVO Golf Classic

October’s Very Own returned to the greens for the OVO Golf Classic 2026, bringing together more than 350 golfers from music, sports and culture for a day that blended friendly competition, luxury hospitality and community impact.

The intersection of golf, entertainment and culture continues to get bigger—and October’s Very Own is putting its own stamp on the game through the Drake OVO Golf Classic.

On July 30, 2026, the brand co-founded by Drake returned to TPC Osprey Valley in Ontario for the second annual OVO Golf Classic, expanding the tournament dramatically from its inaugural event in 2025.

This year, the OVO Golf tournament took over all three courses at TPC Osprey Valley, bringing together 91 teams and 364 golfers, compared with just 36 teams during the tournament’s first year.

OVO Golf Classic 2026 Featured a Celebrity-Packed Field

The OVO Golf Classic 2026 brought together personalities from across sports, music and digital culture.

NBA stars Devin Booker and Jordan Clarkson joined former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel and former U.S. soccer star Jozy Altidore on the course. OVO’s music roster was also represented by Smiley, Roy Woods, Nineteen85 and Majid Jordan’s Jordan Ullman. Digital creators including Glamzilla, MD Motivator and NELK’s Kyle Forgeard were among the broader guest list.

The celebrity golf tournament was hosted by eTalk personality Tyrone Edwards alongside veteran sports broadcaster Rod Black.

More Than a Drake Golf Tournament

The experience extended well beyond the scorecard.

Following an 11 a.m. shotgun start, players moved through a course filled with brand activations, giveaways and interactive challenges. Billboard Canada hosted an activation at the 11th hole where golfers could pose for their own version of a Billboard cover.

The day concluded with a helicopter ball drop featuring prizes ranging from NFL tickets and a $1,000 OVO gift card to a Toronto Blue Jays suite for 20 guests and a Wayne Gretzky-signed jersey. Guests then transitioned from the course into a special meal and reception.

The Drake golf tournament was part golf competition, part cultural gathering and part elevated brand experience—the kind of crossover increasingly reshaping the traditional golf event.

OVO Golf Classic 2026 Doubles Down on Community Impact

Behind the celebrity field and hospitality was the event’s larger purpose.

Proceeds from the OVO Golf Classic 2026 supported both The Remix Project and the Scarborough Shooting Stars Foundation, helping fund programs centered on youth access to sports, mentorship and opportunity.

That expanded the OVO charity golf classic’s charitable footprint from 2025, when proceeds went to the Scarborough Shooting Stars Foundation. The inaugural tournament drew more than 200 guests and was created around making sport and opportunity more accessible to young people in the Greater Toronto Area.

OVO Is Building a New Golf Tradition

Golf is becoming an increasingly visible piece of the OVO universe.

Ahead of this year’s tournament, October’s Very Own released multiple OVO Golf collections, with Golf Drop 01 arriving in June and Drop 02 following in July.

The OVO Golf Classic takes that lifestyle positioning off the rack and onto the course.
After growing from 36 teams in 2025 to 91 teams and 364 golfers in 2026, the second annual OVO Golf Classic 2026

suggests OVO is building something larger than a one-off celebrity tournament.

It’s another example of where modern golf culture is headed: sport, style, music, hospitality and community—all sharing the same fairway.
